• For your application to be deemed outstanding, make sure you clearly link your chosen course of study to your previous experiences and future vision.
• Be very conscious of your grammar. Proofread your writings for the spelling of words and Institution names.
• Use ‘I’ instead of ‘we’ when discussing personal achievements.
• Don’t use bullet points to outline job responsibilities or future plans in your answers. They want to know as much about your goals as possible, so write in full sentences.
• Don’t copy and paste your CV, Personal Statement or Reference Letter. Assessors know when answers are copied and pasted.
• All applicants need to exemplify leadership, influencing, and relationship-building skills. You’ll also need to have a clear understanding of how studying with a UK university will help you achieve your career goals.
• For better results, please apply in more than 3 universities, at least 5 to 6 so that you can secure admission. This is because if you didn’t get the admission to any of the Universities you mentioned in your application form and get admission to 4th University (which is not mentioned in the application form) then your scholarship can still be secured.
• Then when you have been called for an interview, you can let them know about the 4th University in which you have the admission offer.

NOTE that you do not need to have an Admission Letter from University to apply for the Chevening scholarship at this point.
• Give priority to Universities in your application that you feel are the best chance of getting admission. But you can change your choice later at the interview stage.
