STEPS ON HOW TO ACHIEVE THE BEST GRADES IN YOUR STUDIES
They are as follows:
Glance at a sentence or two from each paragraph
In college and grad school, most students don’t have the time to browse all the assignments before class.

My advice is that, instead of avoiding it altogether and hoping you might meet up by listening to the Professor’s class, try to read a few sentences from each paragraph from the designated work.

Reading before classes will help you not fall far behind in class when the Professor is addressing the assignment and, of course, partake in the class discussion.

Ask questions in class
Generally, teachers call on students to answer questions so that they don’t leave any student behind. To reduce your chances of being called on when you don’t know the answer to some questions, make sure you prepare for the class and be actively involved.

Most times, the teacher even adds it to your overall grade. Remember some teachers include your involvement in class as part of your continuous assessment. You might just get a a “B” instead of a “C+.”

Do some extra credit if it is available
Nobody ever gets hurt from going the extra mile for extra credit. So, if you’re unhappy with your grade or can’t seem to understand why you are failing a class, ask your professor if there is anything you can do to raise your score.

Professors/teachers are there to teach. Ignore the common saying that they only seek satisfaction in failing you. Communicating your concern shows you care. As a result, most teachers will grant you extra credit if you’re willing to do the work.

Don’t keep mute if you are unhappy with your grade
Do well to reach out to your Professor/teacher if you are not satisfied with your grades.
Respectfully make an appointment with him/her during their office hours.

Then tell the professor how you feel about your grades, and also state a few reasons why. They will most likely give you options of what to do and perhaps respect your courage.

If the Professor does not agree with your grade, then make an appointment to see the dean of your college and discuss this issue with him/her. An experience in college will not only teach you academics but how to stand your ground.

Do not be terrified. As long as you are respectful and have good reasons as to why you should receive a higher grade, you will be totally fine.

Identify your learning style
When studying, make sure you identify your strengths and weaknesses. It will help you to find out if you’re more productive studying when it’s quiet or if you prefer a steady noise in the background. Likewise, take the time to discover what helps you to memorize information best.

Are you a visual, auditory, or kinesthetic learner? Some students need someone to help them write their college essays due to a lack of perception and conveying thoughts. When you recognize your style, build habits that cater to your learning needs.

For instance, you may want to make flashcards if you learn better visually, or you might want to read out loud if you’re an auditory learner. If you’re a kinesthetic learner, maybe you want to take a field trip and discover what you’re studying in class.

Get a study buddy
In cases where you are not enthusiastic about learning on your own, ask one of your friends in class if they would like to study with you.

Remember that you have to choose wisely.
Select someone who will be helpful to you and please take the study session seriously. You don’t want to waste your study buddy’s time or prevent him/her from increasing their knowledge.

Both of you must decide the time and place you should study so that you will follow through with this and be committed.
