Did you know that every year, the Swiss Confederation grants international students scholarship to promote cooperation between Switzerland and over 180 other countries? The Swiss Excellence Program is for Ph.D., Research Fellowship, and Post Doc and Master Degree students.
The fully funded Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships 2024-25 is funded by the Federal Commission of Scholarships (FCS). And it provides a monthly payment, exemption of tuition fees, health insurance, airfare, and housing allowance. See more details below.

Types of Scholarships under the Swiss Excellence Program
- Research scholarships: The research scholarship (research fellowship, PhD, Postdoc) is available to post-graduate researchers in any discipline (who hold a master’s degree)
- Research Fellowship: To enable selected applicants to undertake research in the realm of their Ph.D. at one of the 10 Swiss cantonal universities.
- Art scholarships: Art scholarships are open to art students wishing to pursue an initial arts master’s degree in Switzerland.
