To be eligible for an RTP Stipend, RTP Fees Offset, RTP Allowance, or DUPRS at Deakin University, students must satisfy the following conditions:

2. Applicants must not be receiving an equivalent award or scholarship from the Commonwealth that is specifically designed to cover higher degree research fees. This criteria ensures that the RTP Fees Offset is awarded to students who do not have access to other fee-offsetting resources, maintaining fairness in the distribution of financial support.

3. Applicants must not be receiving income from another source that exceeds 75% of the RTP or DUPRS Stipend rate if that income is intended to support their general living costs while undertaking their course of study. Income that is unrelated to the student’s course of study or income received for the course of study but not intended for general living costs will not be taken into account in determining eligibility.
