What the Hubei Provincial Scholarship covers

• Study in China
• Open to non-Chinese citizens from any country except China
• Full tuition fee waiver.
• On-campus Accommodation
• Monthly living allowance
• Comprehensive medical insurance,
• Monthly living allowance.

Scholarships are categorized into five distinct tiers, each offering varying financial support:

• Undergraduate Scholarship: 10,000 RMB per year
• Graduate Scholarship: 15,000 RMB per year
• Doctorate Scholarship: 20,000 RMB per year
• General Scholar Scholarship: 5,000 RMB for 6 months or 10,000 RMB per year
• Advanced Scholar Scholarship: 10,000 RMB for 6 months or 20,000 RMB per year

Eligibility Criteria for the Hubei Scholarship Program.

All applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria.

• Must be an international student
• Undergraduate Applicants: Below 25 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Masters Applicants: Below 30 years old with a bachelor’s degree.
• Doctoral Applicants: Below 35 years old with a master’s degree.
• General and Advanced Scholar Applicants: Must fulfill specific academic and professional criteria, along with age restrictions.
• Health and Language Proficiency: Applicants must demonstrate good health and meet the language requirements of their chosen program.
• Applicants must hold a valid passport and exhibit a positive attitude towards China.
• scholars should have obtained a Higher School Degree or higher, while professional scholars should have a bachelor’s degree or above, or be university students in their second year or above.
• Advanced Scholar Scholarship applicants should hold a master’s degree or above, have an associate professor title or higher, and be under 50 years old on average.
• Chinese language proficiency requirements will be determined based on the chosen major and language of instruction.
• Applicants should not receive any financial aid from the Chinese government or other organizations.

Application Documents for the Hubei Provincial Scholarship

 Applicants should provide related materials based on the university’s and colleges’ requirements. The following is the list of the basic materials:

3. Notarized the highest Diploma obtained

4. Notarized Transcript or Certificate of Job Title

5. Letter of Recommendation and Health Certificate

Applicants who haven’t been studying in any of the colleges and universities applied need to fill in the Application Form for the Hubei Provincial Foreign Student Scholarship (form 1).  Applicants who have been studying in the colleges and universities applied for need to fill in the Application Form for the Hubei Provincial Foreign Student Scholarship.

Application procedure for the Hebui Provincial Scholarship

• Select a university from the list of participating institutions in Hubei.
• Go to the university’s official website, visit the International Students section, and find the Scholarships tab.
• Click on the Hubei Municipal Government Scholarship link to access detailed application procedures and requirements.
• Gather the necessary documents, including:
• Application Form for Hubei Provincial Foreign Student Scholarship
• Copy of your passport
• Notarized highest diploma
• Notarized transcripts or certificates of job title
• Letters of recommendation
• Health certificate
• Legal documents for applicants under 18 years old
• Submit Applications: Complete the online application form on the university’s website and submit all required documents either online or by mailing them to the university’s admissions office.
