About the Fully Funded Malaysia International Scholarship
- Covers full tuition fees
- University: Selected Universities in Malaysia

What the Fully Funded Malaysia International Scholarship Covers
- Tuition fees for the entire sponsorship period will be paid directly to the university.
- A monthly living allowance of RM 1,500.00 will be paid to the scholar each semester.
Eligibility Criteria for the Fully Funded Malaysia International Scholarship
Applicants must meet the following criteria for their applications to be considered further
- Age Requirements:
– Master’s level: Not more than 40 years old at the time of application.
– PhD level: Not more than 45 years old at the time of application.
- Academic Qualifications:
– Master’s applicants: A minimum CGPA of 3.00 or 2nd Class Upper (Honours) or higher at the bachelor’s degree level.
– PhD applicants: A minimum CGPA of 3.00 or excellent results at the master’s level in courses related to the intended study program.
- English Language Proficiency:
– An IELTS band score of 6.0 or higher; or
– A TOEFL paper-based test (PBT) score of 550 or higher; or
– Previous degree(s) obtained with English as the medium of instruction.
- Submitting a written research proposal* with a minimum of 1,000 words relevant to the intended field of study is required.

Terms and Conditions for the Fully Funded Malaysia International Scholarship
- Scholars must undertake full-time postgraduate study at selected universities and higher education institutes. It is the scholar’s responsibility to confirm their admission to the university.
- Scholars must not change their study program during the scholarship tenure except with written permission from the university and MOHE.
- Scholars must fulfill the requirements of their study program and abide by Malaysian laws, as well as the university’s rules, regulations, and codes of conduct.
- Any suspension from the university will result in the immediate suspension of the scholarship. Monthly allowances will not be payable during the suspension.
- Successful candidates are responsible for applying and meeting the requirements for an appropriate entry visa, including undergoing a medical examination. The scholarship offer does not guarantee visa issuance.
- Scholars must maintain satisfactory academic progress and good standing as stipulated by their host university. Failure to do so will result in the withdrawal of the scholarship.
- The scholarships are tenable at Malaysian universities and higher education institutes, and research must be conducted in Malaysia.
- Scholars are not allowed to take any paid employment during the scholarship tenure unless they have written approval from the host university.
Application Procedure for the Fully Funded Ellison Scholarship
1. Applications for MIS can be accessed through the online application system
2. Applicants must complete the Application Form and provide all necessary information. The following compulsory documents must be scanned, saved in PDF format, and uploaded to the online application system:
- A certified copy of the passport as proof of nationality (with a minimum validity of 6 months);
- A certified copy of the academic transcript(s): Transcripts of undergraduate studies (and the master’s degree transcript for PhD applicants)
