Eligibility Criteria for the Fully Funded Developing Solutions Masters Scholarship Program 

  • You must live in Africa, India, or one of the selected Commonwealth countries
  • Applicants will be assessed mainly on how well they show a clear plan to develop a solution that tackles key economic, environmental, social, or political issues in their home country. Strong candidates will link this goal to what they’ll learn in their course and how it will help them.
  • You must be classified as an international student for the purpose of tuition fees
  • Must hold an offer to start a full-time master’s degree program (including MRes) for 2025/26 at the University of Nottingham in the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Faculty of Science, or Faculty of Social Sciences
  • Not currently a student or graduate of the University of Nottingham
  • Must not have studied and been awarded an undergraduate or postgraduate degree outside of the home country.
  • Not currently studying in the UK

The Developing Solutions scholarship program typically does not consider applications from individuals who:

1. Hold citizenship in a high-income or developed country, as this scholarship program is focused on supporting students from developing nations.

2. Have already received a full scholarship for their studies, since this scholarship program is aimed at those needing additional financial assistance.

3. Are currently studying or have studied outside of an eligible Developing Solutions country without special approval.

4. Are pursuing a course or field not covered by the program, as some fields may be excluded based on the program’s focus.
