Clarendon scholarships are available for all subject areas and are open to all candidates applying for a new Master’s or DPhil program at Oxford University. What the University of Oxford Clarendon Master’s Scholarship Covers

  • Full tuition fee
  • living allowance (stipend)
  • Top-up living allowance (additional funding on top of base stipend)
  • Full-time scholars will receive an annual grant of 18, 266 for living expenses. For the 2023-24 academic year.

Eligibility Criteria for the University of Oxford Clarendon Master’s Scholarship

Requirements may vary between disciplines and from year to year, depending on the strength of the applicant pool. Other indicators of high academic achievement can include individual marks on student transcripts, evidence of previous university prizes or awards, information on your overall ranking within your cohort, and any publications (if applicable).

  • An excellent academic record is essential for consideration. Most successful applicants typically hold at least a first-class honors degree or its equivalent, such as a GPA of at least 3.7 on a 4.0 scale. Many Clarendon scholars achieve even higher scores. Alternatively, an applicant with an outstanding academic record at the Master’s level can compensate for a more moderate performance in their first degree. 
  • By applying for graduate study you will automatically be considered for a Clarendon scholarship
  • Applications are welcomed from all countries. There are no restrictions by nationality or country of ordinary residence.

Note: Applicants who hold a deferred graduate offer are not eligible to be considered for this scholarship.

Application Procedure for the University of Oxford Clarendon Master’s Scholarship
