The University of Adelaide offers several fully funded scholarships to support outstanding international students from any country to commence their education via a master’s or Doctorate by research.  Awards are available in all Discipline areas.

 About the scholarship

  • Applications are currently open
  • Nominations are accepted at any time
  • Up to 3 years funding
  • Covers Postgraduate Research

For International Students

  • Available In all Faculties
  • Applications are open in different rounds during the year
  • Midyear round semester 2, 2024 Closes 4 February 2024

Benefits of the Scholarship 

  •  Provides a 100% Tuition Fee Waiver which covers the cost of tuition fees as a higher degree by a research student of the University of Adelaide for up to 2 years for a Research Master’s degree, and up to 3 years (with a possible 6-month extension) for a Doctor of Philosophy. 
  • No other allowances are provided.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum distinction average
  • International students can apply for these scholarships
  • Applicants must be nominated by their Principal Supervisor and Executive Dean.
  • Full Fee Scholarships are only awarded to international students who have been awarded a corresponding stipend scholarship by the host Faculty, School, or Research Institute.  
  • Applicants must also meet the minimum English language proficiency requirements for direct entry to their academic program
  •  Hold at least the equivalent of an Australian First Class Honors degree, and rank competitively against successful applicants in the current International Scholarship Order of Merit list.
