The applications for the fully funded CEU University Hungary Scholarships 2024 are available for all international students. The University offers CEU Masters Scholarships, and CEU Doctoral Scholarships.
According to the CEU University website, nearly 700 students from around the world enrolled in the 2023-24 academic year. CEU University has a wide range of degree programs. CEU Hungary Scholarship Benefits
The CEU Master’s Scholarships:
- Tuition Fee and Health Insurance.
- Monthly Stipend to assist with housing and living costs.
- CEU Master’s Excellence Scholarship – 1,000 EUR/month
- CEU Master’s Distinction Scholarship – 750 EUR/month
- CEU Master’s Scholarship – 500 EUR/month
- CEU Master’s Partial Scholarship – 300 EUR/month
The CEU Doctoral Scholarships:
- full cost of tuition
- Monthly Stipend to assist with housing and living costs.
- 1,680 EUR/gross/month
- Also, note that CEU Doctoral scholarships are awarded for 48 months.

These are the list of documents you need to prepare when applying to CEU’s master’s and doctoral It programs.
- Academic Writing Submission(s)
- Letters of Recommendation
- Academic Records
- Curriculum Vitae or Resume
- Proof of English Proficiency
- Standard Test Scores (GRE, GMAT, etc.) (Just for the Department of Economics and Business)
- Completed CEU Application Form.
Proof of English Proficiency Exemption
You can request an exemption if:
- Your first language is English, or you are a current or a former CEU student applying to a CEU doctoral program, or
- You have obtained a Bachelor’s and/or a Master’s degree taught exclusively in English.
The British Council has also launched a new scheme called British Council IELTS One Skill Retake 2023 in which you can appear in one module to improve your score without re-taking the full test.

- The scholarship is available to all citizens.
- You must apply online.
- No need to contact the professor. The department will automatically assign you a professor after your selection.
- Upload all the documents online.
- Final-year Bachelors students can also apply.

CEU University Application Deadline
- For PhD Programs: February 1, 2024 (23:59, Central European Time)* Application deadline for doctoral programs for applicants from all countries.
- For Master Programs: October 18, 2023 (23:59, Central European Time)* Application deadline for applicants to master’s programs from visa-sensitive countries (i.e. countries where it may take 9 to 12 months to obtain a study residence permit and visa).
- February 1, 2024 (23:59, Central European Time): Application deadline for applicants for master’s programs from all other countries than those listed above.
- Results: Applicants will receive a response in December 2023.

How to Apply
- All application materials must be submitted online. You may apply to up to 5 programs (master’s and/or doctoral).
- CEU charges an application fee of EUR 30. Please submit your application only when it is 100% final and complete
- CEU does not return application documents, or provide copies.
